Because It's Better To Be Irrational With Me Than Rational With Someone Else ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ah, I make It Easier For Everybody Each night I make sure all my doors are locked. Even the dead-bolt. Even the chain. Once I make sure the doors are secured and no perp will break-in... I then take all my valuables (laptop, check-book... oh who the hell uses check-books now-a-days???, my wallet...) and leave them right in front of the door. Hell, I will even leave the keys in plain sight as well. The logic? If someone were to break in, why make it harder for them to look for all this stuff? Easy access, easy in and out. No fuss, no mess.
