Because It's Better To Be Irrational With Me Than Rational With Someone Else

Dr. A Walks In On People Doing Awkward Things Like Me Talking to Myself.... Because There Was Nobody Else to Talk to

Dr. A is a professional when it comes to walking in on people at the most awkward parts of the conversation.

Stan and I were chatting each other up in the secret hallway leading to my office. He was standing over me, which is not a great feat, as he is a foot taller than me.

(...)
Me: 'Cause you LOVE me!
Stan: Yes, because I love you.
Walks-in dr. A. Awkward looks are exchanged during the awkward silence.
Dr. A: I am sorry for interrupting. I will be back later.
And he leaves.

Oh dear, he probably thinks we finally "publicly" confessed our love for each other. However, we did no such thing. This is what really happened:
Me: Ugh, you have like the whole department on your shit-list.
Stan, grinning: Ha, you're right.
Me: Am I on your shit-list?
Stan: Nah, you're not. However, you will be if you continue hanging out with S (a girl who is on both of our shitlists).
Me: You WOULD NOT do that! 'Cause you love me!

and the rest you know.

Ah Dr. A, fantastic.
